Volume V. Frequently Asked
Questions, answered.
The most common things customers ask. Don't see yours? Open a ticket below or email us.
01.
What URL will my customers use to reach my site?
Every site lives at
webrelay.app/site/<your-slug>, and every plan — including Free — can turn on a branded subdomain at <your-slug>.webrelay.app — fully automatic, usually live with HTTPS within about 2 minutes of turning it on. No DNS work on your end.02.
What happens to my subdomain if my trial ends or I downgrade?
Nothing. Your subdomain is included on every plan, so it keeps serving no matter which plan you're on — and your default
webrelay.app/site/<your-slug> URL always works too.03.
What happens to my site if I cancel my subscription?
We use a three-stage graceful shutdown so your customers and Google rankings aren't broken overnight:
- Days 0–30: Site stays fully live, including bookings and the chatbot. You can resubscribe with one click.
- Days 31–90: Visitors see your site, but new bookings, inquiries, and chats go to a friendly "not accepting new inquiries" message. A small "powered by Web Relay" footer appears.
- Day 91+: The URL shows a simple placeholder so existing links don't 404.
04.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. From the dashboard you can export your business profile, customer inquiries, bookings, and chatbot conversations at any time. We're happy to delete everything on request — email hello@webrelay.app.
05.
Does my plan come with the subdomain automatically?
It's available — toggle it on in Settings → Hosting & domain. We don't enable it by default in case you'd rather only share the path URL.
06.
Can I change my subdomain slug after publishing?
Yes — use Rename next to your subdomain in Settings → Hosting & domain. Old links redirect to the new address, so existing links and search rankings stay intact.
